Kathryn Schlesinger Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Kathryn Schlesinger hopes to become a board certified reproductive specialist

BLACKSBURG, VA, August 6, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kathryn Schlesinger, Student at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of veterinary studies.

As a student at Virginia Tech, Ms. Schlesinger is pursuing her doctorate in equine veterinary medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science in 2005 and currently has a 3.2 GPA. A class representative for advanced equine theriogenology, she intends to complete an internship at a prestigious equine clinic as well as a residency so she can become board certified in her field.

Ms. Schlesinger feels that the most important issue facing the equestrian industry is a veterinarian shortage in public health. She plans to focus her career on equine reproduction and sport horse medicine. Her interest in horses began when she was eight years old, and in college she competed on the Virginia Tech Intercollegiate Equestrian team. She is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the Veterinary Business Management Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association and the Golden Key International Honour Society. Ms. Schlesinger attributes her success to her supportive family.
